RENÉE HOLLER was born in Würzburg. After reading Enid Blyton as a child, she started dreaming of becoming an author one day. But when she grew up, she first decided to study social anthropology, geography and sociology at Munich University, where she received an MA. Later she worked in a publishing company, a bookshop and a school library. Meanwhile, her childhood dream has come true: she has published more than 30 books for adults and children, many of which have been translated into foreign languages like Chinese, Korean, Greek, Turkish, Polish, Hungarian, Rumanian, Czech, French and Spanish. She now lives in Oxford, England.
